Triple Combo: Altun Ha & Cave Tube & Zip Line:

Departs the island at 7:00am, returns at 5:00pm

Even though Altun Ha is small as compared to other temples in the region, the extent to which the site has been cleared and restored makes it easy to imagine its past glory and wealth as a major ceremonial center. A trek to the top of the 54ft Temple of the Masonry Altars is rewarded with a magnificent panorama of the site and the treetops of the jungle. A spectacular find here was a six-inch high, ten pound, jadeite carving of the head of Kinich Ahau, the Sun God, which was found in the tomb of a male priest. Then head to NoHoch Chen Reserve. Grab a tube and head off on one of Belize's most popular adventures! Start with a jungle trail walk learning about the medicinal and traditional uses of the rainforest plants and trees. Then enter an exciting realm where rivers disappear into the underworld as you float on inner tubes with only your headlamp to lead the way. Wrap up your mainland adevnture with a zip line tour through the treetops!
